| PANORAMA: MIGRANTS, GO HOME! - TONIGHT, 5 OCTOBER 8.30PM ON BBC ONE Hello, MIGRANTS, GO HOME! Continuing his journey tracing the route taken by thousands of migrants from Africa to Europe every year, Paul Kenyon comes across the new blocks stopping migrants getting from France to the UK. A new hard line French policy has seen economic migrants rounded up and sent home and camps shut down. In Italy a deal with Libya's Colonel Gadaffi sees Europe-bound migrants captured at sea and locked up in desert camps. But is this treatment justified when applied to those fleeing war and persecution? Panorama: Migrants: Go Home! is tonight on BBC One at 8.30pm. And you can watch all four of Paul Kenyon's reports in the series Europe or Die Trying on the Panorama website. DYING TO BE TREATED? Last Wednesday Panorama broadcast a special one hour programme looking at government policy to slash NHS waiting lists by sending patients for treatment to the private sector. Thousands of people have been fast-tracked through, but the programme investigated where mistakes have been made costing millions and in some cases even lives. If you missed Panorama: Dying to be Treated? you can watch it on the BBC iPlayer. THE TRUTH ABOUT SPENDING CUTS With the Conservative Party conference getting under way, spending cuts remain top of the agenda. In last week's programme, reporter John Ware challenged the politicians to come clean about how they are going to get Britain out of the worst recession in the country's modern history as leaders prepare their election pitches. So where do they plan to make the cuts? By how much? And who will be hit the hardest? If you missed the programme you can watch it on the Panorama website. That's all from us for now.
